He's a good'er for sure. Hands of lead though; not great for handling pucks but definitely great for breaking some teeth.
As for the trades, I'm sure that we could sort something out - lumlums
Hey I know what Colton Orr's good for. Do you really think Pacioretty would've concussed McDonagh last night is Orr was around waiting to throw him into the stantions? I think not. |

Maybe the Rangers can slip Orr some extra cash on the side to beat the crap out of Pacioretty as a favor for old times sake lol - pcjr307
The thing that was great about the Rangers letting Orr walk *(and they should have 4 years ago) was that Sather said that NO WAY should an "enforcer" get a 4 year contract. Then he turns around the next year & signs Boogaard (RIP) to a 4 year contract worth more than what Orr got from Toronto.
True story. |

Two wrongs don't make a right, he should have gotten a few games IMO.... - ShootingSemin
We'll have to agree to disagree on the McDonagh hit on Pacioretty. If he was whistled for a penalty on the play, meh. But I definitely do not think McDonagh's hit on Pacioretty was suspension worthy at all. And watching replays I didn't even notice any Canadiens players on the ice or the bench objecting to the hit. I would have thought they would have since they are currently playing tougher than the Rangers. |

Why don't they just bring back bench clearing brawls? That was fun. I really don't get anything about the NHL anymore.
And if this season for the Rangers continues to play out this pathetically I wish the lockout went the distance. - MrCrowley
Indecisiveness from the top on down, it is brutal, makes the league look bush and not near being an elite sports league, like they try and consider themselves.... |

I thought it could have been a game. The thing that probably saved patches was the hit by McDonough earlier. Any word on mcd having a concussion or not? Hopefully he is OK. |

Lundqvist?? Ok, i agree. - soad_live
IMO i would take Lundqvist, Nash, Gaborik, Girardi, McDonagh, Callahan... Before I would even consider thinking about Pacioretty. Pacioretty is not even the best player on his own team. I'd rather have Price |

Pathetic!! Hoping for other teams to take care of Rangers affairs. You already pay many players ALOT of money that don't perform. |

Hey, for the most part Slats has been gold the last 3 years or so. UFA signings are still at times looney but his trades are pure genius. All these Hab fans hanging around here could probably concur. |

We assume concussion but don't expect any updates from the Rangers. When it comes to those types of injuries they become real secretive. We do know Girardi's x-rays came back clean so there is some good news. |

Honestly for all my bluster, the hit wasn't that bad. The one thing that made me think it SHOULD have been a suspension was that it was clearly retaliatory, and that was supposed to be an instant suspension. IF this was just Patches on a random Ranger, im ok with no suspension. The fact that it was MacD, whom had an earlier incident with Patches, during the game, and that it was 100% retaliatory, i feel that alone makes it a suspenable play. |

Dude, his response saying Nash and Gaborik are not as good as Pacioretty is a wrap. If that doesn't make it clear of how much a homer this guy is, nothing will. |

Definitely not. I don't know if he'll be recovered from his injury in time for the game against the Habs though. Worst case, McLaren can just punch their future captain whilst laughing at him |

Thus my last line. Besides, the hit on Pacioretty happened right in front of your bench. If the hit on McDonagh had occurred in front of the Rangers bench I'd bet at least one Ranger would have gone after Pacioretty. I guarantee Tortorella would have thrown a couple of punches at Pacioretty. |
