I think more of the blame is on Gillis.

His job is to give the coach players he needs to win. in 2011 he gave AV the players to win and look what happened they went to the final.

The last time I though like that it was '08 and we all know how that season went.

The Canucks need a coach that can teach, big problem when you've got youngish players. Also, MG has been sitting on his hands longing for yester-year. Needs to pull his head outta his ass and make some moves.

If only the playoffs were decided half way through the season... the Leafs would have made them for 8 straight years.

You and I both know we most likely wont be there at the end of the year. I hope we make the playoffs, but if we do we'll be in as a 7th seed at best.

This is all on Gillis. I am not the biggest AV fan but this is not his fault. The players on this team just arent that elite quality. I am not the biggest fan of this D. After Tanev and Hamhuis who else is really a good D man. Bieksa Edler Garrison are proving to be middle of the road guys vs elite top 4 guys. The offense is not built for sustained scoring in the playoffs. Once the refs take the whistles away and it becomes playoff hockey we have a tough time scoring. MG needs to go.

Who would have thought Edler would have taken a step back like this. Edler should be elite but he's not playing like it. I don;t know wtf his deal is. He said his back will never be 100% again and we also saw him only hit 96 mph in the skills comp when he regularily hit 100-101 before.

We have to go after Perry hard in the offseason. Also, I'm not opposed to trading Edler or Kesler if it brings in the right players.

I'm not sure the space is there. To sign Perry you will need to move 1-2 bigtime players and how attractive is Vancouver then?
