The comment made earlier was that if those players met or exceeded career expectations they might be compabarable.Then again,Yak might end up being the Next Sergei Berezin and Hamilton the 2nd coming of Andy Delmore. Oilers have the ability to deal from a position of strength but they haven't, that's why it seems like the wrong pick. In terms of bpa at the time it was the correct pick. In 5 to 10 years, who knows.

it's more fun for the haters to point out possible failures than the successes. so the fact that yaks hasnt been the best rookie thus far gives the trolls nothing but glee.

his potential is undeniable, so hopefully he continues to develop and figures it out. the flashes of brilliance have certainly been there. now he just need sort out the pro game and sustain them.

i only have to think about eberle's rookie year in comparison to his sophmore and remember that development isnt the same for every player. stamkos' first half season??

I'm on the fence with this trade, I really like Dougie's game and he has been playing well learning from Seidenberg and Chara. Yakupov would add instant offense to the Bruins and with Khokhlochev coming up next year they could be lethal on a line. I would only say no because Hamilton is going to be such an important piece to our defensive corp for years to come.
