Well, last piece in terms of scoring forwards...we still need a revamped D core, definitive #1 goalie and more scoring production out of everyone. Ad possibly a new coach. And a new GM.

As per Elliotte Friedman of HNIC. The cost for these rentals are through the roof . What are you willing to give up for 2 months of Ryan Clowe. He has no goals and will he help the Oilers in the playoffs?

i'd perfer to try and sign him as ufa. I know he his going to make it to july 1st. I doubt i'd give up more than a 2nd and prospect if you were asking. He's had a rough year offensive end but he isn't a liability and the oil need size up front.

Chris Stewart would look good as well, isn't he an RFA?

Many reports out on Twitterland that Clowe wants to play in the East , I think Friedman even suggested Montreal.

Stewart is a RFA next year but also St.L top scorer . Don't really see a trade being made there.

Its so frustrating watching the Oilers. It seems like they come to play for 40 minutes, get a lead, then sit on their heels for 20 minutes hoping the other team doesn't score. Our defence isn't good enough to play like this. The team needs to press for 60 minutes or they don't stand a chance. I hope the Oilers keep Smid, we don't have another player that can step into that role. As for tonights game.............if the oil can bring some offence for 60 minutes they will win. If they sit on their heels for any part of the game, they will lose.

Stewart's value is pretty high right now, wouldn't be surprised to see him get traded.

They have a pile to sign and none will be cheap.

As I mentioned yesterday:

AP - 6.5
Shat -5
Stewy - 5.5
Berg - 4
Allen - 3

Thats 24 mill for 5 guys. Leaving about 9 mill to sign 6 more guys. Russell will prolly get about 1.75. Doesnt leave a lot of wiggle room. But it's doable.

If it is, you must have some insider indformation as you talked about it before that episode came out...
I'm sure though that teamates calling each other out happens alot more often than we think..at least I hope it does..
I wanna see Hall attack RNH and Eberle..those two look like theyre way to comfortable with losing..

I think maybe instead of Clowe ,maybe Ott. He is under contract and even though he is not a natural center he would add some very good 3 rd line toughness and is under contract for a couple more years.

I know this isn't the answer but tj Brennan from buffalo was acquired for a 5th. Wouldn't be be a decent replacement for potter?

I dont want them trading for any rentals. Oil dont have the prospects and picks to spare to take a chance like that. If there are some interesting UFA's this summer then thats the time to make the splash.

No. Lateral move in my opinion. If your giving up an asset even if its a 5th, then it need to be an upgrade.

It is a very decent offer. I heard 2 days ago Boston are not going to re-sign Horton.

It helps in many ways. Combine that with an Ott trade and you would have a mean piece of business
