Thanks for posting that link. Brutal.
If I was the coach he'd never play another shift...and as the GM I'd trade him for whatever someone was willing to give me. Brutal. - dawgzhouse
Right?! I've never seen anything like that at any level of the game... Truly puzzling...
I definitely don't want Gillis doing any knee jerk reactions. The past four years we always have massive hot streaks in the middle of the seasons and cool off by the time playoffs come around. Maybe we catch fire when Kesler comes back, right before the playoffs? I think we should be patient. I understand this team didn't play well for the last two months of last season, and it's continued this year, but we have seen flashes of dominant play. I think it'll come together at the right time. We could use an added weapon offensively, though. Even with the return of Kesler.

I have less issues with Gillis. Losing faith, though. - Fosco
I blame them both equally, AV doesn't control Gillis according to their job descriptions, if he doe then Gillis isn't doing his jobs properly. Sure, the coach and GM should be on the same page for signings and trades but Gillis should have the final say on all transactions and building this roster. The coach should have to adjust to the players the GM brings in, the GM shouldn't have to adjust to the coach IMO.
BTW Love the weather lately. Gonna go enjoy it before the puck drops tonight.
Just a serious question for you Canuck fans....How big of a window do the Canucks have with the Sedins? What I mean is how many more years do you think they have left of competitive top line hockey? In my opinion it seems that they are not slowing down at all and look like they both might be like Selane and play into their forties, but I do not see every game. On a side note, it still kills be as a Hawk fan that one of our draft picks was used to get the sedins dumb trade by the Hawks.
I guess the flames would be giving up a bit much lol - Redmile247
Jensen is our best prospect. We can't afford to give him up. Especially for a non-core player. The Canucks aren't exactly ripe with blue chip prospects. If the flames wanted a good young player they'd have to look elsewhere. If we were giving up Booth and Jensen, we'd be expecting Iginla back.

It's tough to say. Personally, I think they'll last into their 40's, maybe not as a bona fide first line, but maybe a 1 b. They've never been built on speed. They're cerebral players with great chemistry. Not to mention they're work out freaks and the best trained players on our team. They'll be great for a long time. In six years I could see

Stajan is a center which you need, he would rank 3rd on the Canucks in points and 2nd in plus minus. This all playing on all 4 lines. Booth has one goal empty net and is gonna be bought out. Stajan>booth this why you would be giving up a prospect. Maybe not Jensen but that's why I threw in the pick. if we threw in iggy instead you would have to add a lot more then booth Jensen

Wow Stajan is having one good year. You can keep him. I wouldn't trade Booth straight up for him. At least Booth hits really hard and takes pucks to the net hard. He's a power forward. I like him. Maybe not at 4 million, but we'll most likely trade him next year, not by out.
What are the chances Vancouver trades away some bigger name players to get a rebuild going? It's looking more and more like they're going to need one, especially with a tough division next year.

You wouldn't trade a guy with 1 g that plays the wing and is definitely getting bought out for a center which you need ? Stajan might be having one good year but one is better then none in comparison to booth
