The team should trade a goalie for some usable help before they miss the playoffs, Geez why haven`t they thought about that!

Did he say that before or after he set himself on fire free-basing?

My problem with Gillis and Co. is that they like to use the "oh wait until we are healthy and have Kessler and Bieksa back in the line up" excuse way too much.

That's fine and dandy, but if you have hopes of a long playoff run you can't assume you'll win all 4 rounds with a completely healthy line up. They need to improve their depth and it needs to be now. Booth and Kessler out (and Bieksa earlier) was a good test of their depth and they failed. Go make roster adjsutments and stop this wait and see crap approach.

The injuries are a small problem compaired to the larger issue of this team having far too many floaters.

I'm glad the van city fans are finally getting on gillis. Look at his work so far and it isn't as impressive as many outsiders think. Hamhuis and manny were coming to van no matter who the gm was , the coho trade so far doesn't look good at all, he traded for booth , he is too scared to trade a goalie, I do like the garrison signing but AV not putting him on top pp unit is about as dumb as sutter signing j bo to be a shut down defensive specialist.

Well they can't be lolligagging as much as Kostitsyn was for Nashville last night....

Check it out if you haven't already seen him skate to the bench because he lost the puck to Gagner and more or less allowed the Oil to have a 2 on 1.

Luongo for Price, Galchenyuk, a 1st and Subban.

Seriously, though. Garrison was a steal for the Canucks.

That's all folks, have a good day and remember: Know Jesus, know peace... no Jesus, no peace.

Ian speaks for about 99.9% of Canucks fans—AV is awful.

If you're tired of reading it, or think Ian is overdoing it, don't read the blog

My guess is that it will continue to be a popular topic/opinion until he's fired.

Yes, offering only Bozak, Kadri + for Luongo ruined both organizations! Leafs could have offered much more for a goalie of his elk.

Thanks for posting that link. Brutal.
If I was the coach he'd never play another shift...and as the GM I'd trade him for whatever someone was willing to give me. Brutal.

I don't know if AV is awful or it's just that his message/system no longer resonates in the locker room but it certainly has felt for some time that this team has been skating without any authority behind the bench, whether from AV or his assistants.
