It must have sounded like a good idea before the season started when everyone's favourite "sleeper" team was the Oilers. Funny thing was that the national media were the one's pumping their tires, most Oiler fans said it would be a pleasant surprise to make the playoffs.

Not surprised, I guarantee you that Gillis is going to try and convince the media that this was just a write-off type of season because of the injuries and short season. I don't buy it since it seems like every team has some significant injuries and they're all dealing with a condensed schedule. Every year Canucks fans who are convinced that AV will be fired or guys like Raymond/Booth/Ballard/Malhotra will be off of the team are disappointed. Hell, everyone was convinced that Luongo would be gone by now. I do think that Ballard will be gone for sure after this season though, and expect coaching changes unless this team goes n a miracle run. I'm not saying that I don't want changes, just that I'm not expecting a bunch of them which is disappointing.

I like that second line, Hansen's breakout season so far is being overlooked because of the team sucking. @ the 3rd and 4th lines.

I don't know much about him but if he can fight and hit it could be an upgrade over Alberts. Alberts has not been bad
