And I don't see Bickel as the answer or even as an upgrade over the depth guys. Only good thing is that he's a RHD. - Nucker101
Except he would be the toughest d man on our team. Somebody to clear the front of the net. |

@DemiGod_821 @blakeprice1040 Im unconvinced the Canucks even want to buy booth out. They were chasing him for a yr.
That's depressing - VANTEL
I'll bet you that no Canuck players get bought out at the end of the season. |

I like that second line, Hansen's breakout season so far is being overlooked because of the team sucking. @ the 3rd and 4th lines. - Nucker101
Hansen has been progressing every year. I am starting to look at him as a top 6 . He is folliwing the same pth as Burrows. |

I don't know much about him but if he can fight and hit it could be an upgrade over Alberts. Alberts has not been bad - VANTEL
Upgrade over barker and he's got one more year at 750 |

I have never seen him play. Better the AHLberts? - Bieksa#3
I've only seen a handful of games, but I'm just looking at his normal and advanced numbers and it seems like he's a depth guy at best. I'd take him over Barker, especially since he's a RHD. And you can maybe play him as a #6 guy against bigger and tougher teams if needed. |

I think Ballard will be moved but if not bought out. |

Alberts has been pretty solid for a depth guy, he actually uses his size but when he handles the puck I try not to look. I'd take Bickel over Barker though. |

Tambellini needs to go IMO, he's way too conservative to be a good GM IMO. - Nucker101
I think they need to look beyond skill as a organization and fill their needs. If that means dealing one of their 1st overall picks then so be it. |

I'm not too familiar with how tough he is(over the years it seems like most of the tough guys the Canucks always bring are not as tough as we thought). 68 hits in 51 games last year, 13 hits in 16 games this year. He does drop the gloves, but I'm not too sure that he'd be a physical presence. Alberts has averaged 2+ hits per game the last 3 seasons. But if I'm Gillis, I claim him and waive Barker. |

Big guy that can play 15 min a night and kick azz.
Thats really all there is with him.
he'd be a decent 6/7 guy and a better price than Alberts or Ballard and tougher than Barker.
I'd be ok with
Hamhuis/Bieksa
Edler/Tanev
Garrison/Bickell
going forward |

This is the big key here, plus he's a RHD. I would never pay my 7th d-man more than 800K if I were a GM, let alone 4+ million dollars for my 3rd pairing guy. IMO this team has no use for Barker, and Bickel could be a cheaper 7th d-man moving forward than Alberts. |

I suggested Yaks and perhaps something else for the Schenn boys and the oilers fans went on a rant about how they have the 5 greatest players under 24 in NHL history. Except huge B, he was onboard |

Claiming players off of waivers is not something a .500 team does to become elite, it's what an elite team does to add depth. In very few cases a waiver pickup has been able to contribute significantly. Off the top of my head, I can only think of one (Gelinas), but I'm sure there are others. |

I am fine with them drafting first line players and ignoring the balance of the rest of the team . It means one less team we need to worry about |

Paul Maclean should win coach of the yr hands down
Tampa clearly needs help in net and presuming the leafs play their standard game against the bruins in the next 2 games, Mr no nuts might start sweating it out for a goalie as well |
