07 was way worse
this time around, i think we can all feel reasonably confident that they'll be better next year
right??
- Don'tForgetTocchet
As I posted before, it's very reasonable to expect Coburn and Hartnell to rebound. It's reasonable to expect Couturier and Schenn to come out of their sophomore issues and be better players. It's reasonable to expect Giroux to be better after this learning experience
Also, under a new coach, and if they add a top pair defenseman, they should be at least filling roles in accordance with their abilities.
The good thing about 2006-07 was the promise of a ton of cap room |

Maybe Steve Tambellini. Greg Sherman, Doug Wilson if the Sharks miss the playoffs. I think Holmgren's safe, but you never know. - Jsaquella
Don't forget special guest Mike Milbury, he's always got a place at that outing. |

Not sure how anyone can be deemed safe after this type of season considering the resources that were allocated. Spending the most money and finishing at the bottom don't jive. |

There is nothing in his history to suggest he is anything but a character guy. Suggesting otherwise is low. |

I just don't think he'll be fired. He certainly could be. But I'd be mildly surprised if he is. |

I am blaming pitbull for this mess you know - Marc D

if he refuses to waive then he looks like the bad guy...this way he doesnt have to do anything. he cant be bought out in the off season...there is plenty of motive to fake it. |

He doesn't look like a bad guy at all, he can point to his custody situation and blame it. |

Wow. Ray Shero trades two second rounders for a guy who looked like he was a wreck in San Jose and people are lining up to polish his knob.

Nah, Briere's always good for a quote, never gives them a hard time and is always available. The media will sell the good dad angle. Also, Briere doesn't have a funny way of speaking English, so they can't make Borat jokes |

Why should a team that's out of the playoffs and already has a shallow prospect pool trade for two veterans that would be rentals for 20 games or so? |

Why would the Flyers have interest in aging UFA's when they are going nowhere this year? I don't see the logic in that. |

I like him....but i just get the feeling something stinks...i understand you can get a concussion at practice....but so close to the trade deadline? timing seems odd
wish the guy the best though and a speedy recovery. hopefully before the 3rd |
