The 3 players the Pens acquired cost them about 4.2M in Cap space. The Flyers right now could take on a player or players with a 6.4M AAV
Not so sure about that. Hockey is still a team game. Boston has the checking and team defense to match up. - MJL
Boston was red hot in February.. and has cooled off in March.. Their goalie has also cooled off considerably.. Last night he damn near had a full blown mental breakdown. Meanwhile the Pens team defense has been outstanding... they are the best offense in the league (far and away).. they are statistically the second best 5v5 team (gf/ga) they are second in PP, 9th in g/a, and again by far.. the best 3rd period team in the league. All of that prior to adding Iginla, Morrow, and Murray.
I understand there is a lot of hockey left to be played, but if you look at the two teams and dont see the Pens as the heavy favorite not only out of the east, but out of the entire NHL.... come on.

It would be pretty nice to sneak in at the 8th spot and oust the pens in the first round after all these moves they made. I for one am not interested in tanking for a hit or miss draft pick, but can accept it if it happens.

For the last 16 games of the season, we might have to rename this site musicbuzz to keep ourselves sane. I honestly did not see the team being this bad.
