not even close really..

Amazing how the Pens have the cap space to continue to add and add, while not giving up any roster players. If the Penguins don't win the Cup I would be shocked.

Not so sure about that. Hockey is still a team game. Boston has the checking and team defense to match up.

Boston do not have that edge they had in seasons past. They`ll need to do some serious tweeking to get in the show.

No, no, no, no, no, no, don't take 'em off, don't take--leave 'em on, leave 'em on.

The quote about inflatables is one of my favorite DLR quotes.

I also love the story about brown M&Ms.

cap space is one thing, having prospects and real talent to trade for those players is what makes them so good.

The 3 players the Pens acquired cost them about 4.2M in Cap space. The Flyers right now could take on a player or players with a 6.4M AAV

I would disagree. Boston is a strong favorite right now, as is.

I love the line running up the back of your stocking there.....I've always liked those kind of high heels, too.

Some people hide their fetishes. I turn them into 50 foot inflatables

I would expect any team at the bottom of the League to have more cap space than the teams at the top. Compare the Flyers cap space to Florida's.

Boston was red hot in February.. and has cooled off in March.. Their goalie has also cooled off considerably.. Last night he damn near had a full blown mental breakdown. Meanwhile the Pens team defense has been outstanding... they are the best offense in the league (far and away).. they are statistically the second best 5v5 team (gf/ga) they are second in PP, 9th in g/a, and again by far.. the best 3rd period team in the league. All of that prior to adding Iginla, Morrow, and Murray.

I understand there is a lot of hockey left to be played, but if you look at the two teams and dont see the Pens as the heavy favorite not only out of the east, but out of the entire NHL.... come on.

It would be pretty nice to sneak in at the 8th spot and oust the pens in the first round after all these moves they made. I for one am not interested in tanking for a hit or miss draft pick, but can accept it if it happens.

That song is almost 40 years old. It's actually song they played in bars, just called "Big Trouble" back then. It's on one of the demo bootlegs floating around. I still sometimes sing the lyrics to Big Trouble when I listen to it

•Joe Haggerty: Source saying there was a call made between the Bruins and Flyers about Daniel Briere. Jordan Caron and a pick were mentioned, but his concussion ended talk.

Who knows ho wtrue this is, but sigh.... This dang concussion is gonna screw us, although I seriously doubt he'd ever waive his no trade...

For the last 16 games of the season, we might have to rename this site musicbuzz to keep ourselves sane. I honestly did not see the team being this bad.

I've already accepted that this team is not making the playoffs and I've moved on to hoping Holmgren doesn't do anything stupid and franchise crippling at this point.

Outside of Morrow, they gave up jack poop in terms of prospects.

It's all rock. No ballads and most of the songs are songs from the early days, reworked and turbocharged

Wow, that blueline for tonight's game is enough to put the fear of God in to even the most stalwart of Flyers faithful.

Imagine if they had traded Coburn for picks already.

Lots of work in store for Homer this offseason.
