I no longer give a rats a$$ about the season, our draft pick, or Holmgrens ability to ride a bicycle. All I want to see is the PENS lose. It is so lame to stop caring about your team and start routing against another. But that is what it has come to for me. Yes, I will enjoy watching Iggy and Crosby play together. And if they don't win the stanley cup this will be a successful year IMHO.

the senior US Maccabi team i'm playing on for the Games this summer in Israel has a practice match on 4/16 at the wells fargo center after the flyers-rangers game, to which we're being treated with a suite and a pre-game party etc....and i couldn't care less about it. i almost don't want to to go because i'm afraid of being affected by the total suckage that i can expect to see for 2.5 hours before hand. this really makes me sad, my apathy.

Get bombed, I mean, you're a goalie, nobody's gonna notice if you act weird

i've already got that covered, but it's probably for the best that they suck, and the game will be of no meaning whatsoever. i don't need to be acting like a a total lunatic about the flyers beforehand in front of the guys, none of whom i really know that well, except for one, and the other is a former college teammate of mine - but i couldn't give a rats ass what he thinks of me.
i played drunk once in my life - when i was living in stockholm - and strangely enough i was just telling this story to a co-worker an hour ago. weird.
Ugh breaks my heart everytime amazing how he could play so well yet so bad in those playoffs. Been so long though, was it more of a better team D effort?

i blame powe for the turnover, and timonen for getting beat like a slug. but yeah, leighton didn't play well the whole series. he was terrific earlier...a damn shame, especially because niemi was average too.

Whenever I think about that series I tell myself they had no chance to win game 7 in Chicago, it helps me rationalize that goal.

Just the mention of that run refreshes the heartache, every damn time

The Flyers were completely gassed by Game 6 too. I'll never forget during one of the later games, there was an icing call against the 'Hawks, and the camera panned to Richards who is completely out of breath--I'm out of it. I knew then, that even if they forced a game 7, it would be impossible for them to win.
