Their not going to have to worry about defense cause their going to be playing in the offensive zone alot. When Pitt wins the cup It will be worth it. They only gave up 2 average prospects and the pick is going to be last pick of 1st round. They picked up Murray already and fluery will be fine. It's not like they will face Philly so no worries for pit - SMS4016
So it's going to be a cakewalk to the Cup? They don't have to worry about Boston, Montreal, or Chicago? What about goaltending?

I agree with that. But even so, they're the favorite going in. - MJL
True, I guess the lost 1st will only make it sting that much more when they get eliminated. |

Bourque on NHL live saying he told Boston he wanted to be traded to Philly and thought it was a done deal in 2000. Hearing him admit he wanted to go to Philly makes me Sick to my stomach. Bad memories. WTF. |

I must be a glutton for punishment. I am going to watch the game tonight. I swear, if the team played like they cared as much as I do, they'd be fantastic...or at least watcheable....
Here's to a line of Rinaldo and Simmonds and whoever for the entire game. |

Yeah, I've heard that many times.. that totally sickens me too. I think that he would have really helped in that run. Who would we have given up? I heard it was a guy that's still on our team. That trade happens, do we win game 7 in Boston in 2010? |

I must be in the small group that thinks fleury is good goalie. I don't grade any pit or Philly player based on their play against each other. When pit and Philly play it's other worldly. He did win a cup. He's usually pretty solid. I guess they need to worry about chicAgo but hell shero still might not be done but pit as much as I hate it is definitely the front runner |

I'll be watching too, rooting for them to win.
I can't stand losing even if it gets a better draft pick. |

My favorite movie of all time. Newman, George C. Scott, Gleason, Piper Laurie...
And this guy.... Very underrated actor. The Mayor of Shark City. This sportscoat rules. I would so wear it.

I think he's a good Goalie too. But he's also shown he can implode. My point is that the Stanley Cup isn't won at the trade deadline. It's won in the playoffs. And a lot can happen. Who would've picked NJ and LA in the Finals last year. And the Pens were the overwhelming favorites against the Flyers. I think the Pens are the best team also. But I'm not going to guarantee the Cup for them. Not with teams like Boston and Chicago around.

Boston may still be a better "team" than Pitt IMHO.. Their D, and goaltender are superior and that's what wins in playoff time. I am hearing on sportsnet that they are going after St Louis, and if they get him, I say it's even money who wins that. |

I knew exactly what you meant. The rumour at the time was that Boston wanted a young Flyers 1st year player named Simon Gagne. I bet that's what it would have taken to have Bourque. having said that, at the time, i wanted him on the Flyers too. |

I'm also going to watching juniors.
Tonight I'll be checking out Jason Richardinson (site changes his actual last name) from Guelph when they play Kitchener if it's a blowout them I'll change. |
