This team is not one good prospect away from being a contender. The team is fine. A new coach to implement a system that fits our team's skill-set and a more offensive-minded defenseman and they're in the thick of things. A top-3 pick will help no doubt. But yes, I consider you less of a fan if you're cheering because Bryz let in a goal and you're upset because Hartnell scored a game-tying goal with less than a minute left.....

Do they go Lilja next? Why not Laurisden or Manning, really have nothing to lose.

When did I say they should tank? I just think that they need to build this team through the draft and honestly winning a meaningless game against the islanders and just letting this year go down the drain is a small price to start to remake this defense. I will never be a fan of another team..

I enjoy hockey. Looking for improvement from some of the players. I'm not going to cry about winning, but they have less than 2% chance of making the playoffs, with a full compliment of defenders. If Seth Jones is as good as people say he could change the franchise's entire future. Glad to see couts getting solid minutes.

The only thing I want to see before I die is my Flyers win a cup.

If that comes because of one of the 3 players at the top of the draft this season or from a miraculous march to and through the playoffs then great.

I don't care how it happens I just want to see it happen.

Someone here (you?) linked to an article where it was said Laughton used the 5-game promotion and subsequent return to the OHL as a stepping stone, as opposed to a reason to sulk. Glad he's working hard to improve with his new-found confidence.
