Not much of a fan of this team to want to see them lose and not give effort night in and night out.
What the Seravalli has happened to this fan base? - Flyskippy
Again you can finish 9th and get a nobody or finish at the bottom and get a possible stud..I hope we get Jones and this team looks great next season and he is everything he is suppose to be and you remember giving us crap for knowing how sport works |

You can consider me less of a fan all you want..
The only thing I want to see before I die is my Flyers win a cup.
If that comes because of one of the 3 players at the top of the draft this season or from a miraculous march to and through the playoffs then great.
I don't care how it happens I just want to see it happen. - opeth_pa
So do we all, but it has NEVER been in this fan base's blood to want to tank for a pick. Until now, apparently. |

Were closer to a cup with one of the top 3 studs IMO. That's all I care about |

Someone here (you?) linked to an article where it was said Laughton used the 5-game promotion and subsequent return to the OHL as a stepping stone, as opposed to a reason to sulk. Glad he's working hard to improve with his new-found confidence. - Flyskippy
I don't recall that article but from what I have heard & now watched, I think he used what he learned, saw, & was told and ran with it in the OHL.
Even during at least 1 game playing the right point during a power play. |

gervais is so bad lol - flyfan1212
TB was one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL last year, Gervais was scratched like 30 times. Why was he signed? |

No way we win a skills comp |

Only a 25% chance of getting a #1 even if they finish 30th and the Flyers have always done well picking in the first round. Giroux was a "stud" pick, for instance.
He most likely won't be on any team because he will need to develop some, as d-men do. This isn't about how the sport works. |

In 2 to 5 years! Jones is not saving the franchise in 6 months' time. - Flyskippy
People need patience. I'm not expecting the franchise saved by next year. Flyers have an expensive inadequate D and a young offense. Be nice to get younger, cheaper and better on D in 3 years or so when the offense is peaking. |

which one? Luke looks great other then the penalty. BTW: NYI have a terrible PP and Hickey looks like and AHLer out there. |

Shootout. Bryz has got this.
Anyone who thinks Franz Nielsen is going to score in the shootout, get your heads examined. |

We better get the right one or else the same complainers will be doing so at that time. Never changes - just the subject of their ire. |

Top 3 will be fine, you will be very happy with any of Jones, Drouin, or MacKinnon. |

I've been keeping an eye on Ghost, any chance he turns pro this year and plays a few games for the Phantoms. He looks to have another solid year for Union College.

I'd go with Foster, Knuble, and L. Schenn in the shootout. Nabakov will fall asleep before they get to the goal. |

I should add that kudos to the players tonight. They for the most played a solid game. 2 crazy bounce shots hurt them. |

They need to stop rushing their youngsters just to keep the fan base and bottom line happy and try to win every year. They're misusing their resources if they're not going to allow their drafted players to grow in time. |

Would be nice if that penalty kept him out of the shootout, but that ain't how it works.

or
closer to a cup by drafting one on of the top 3?
Don't get me wrong, I would rather have them make the playoffs this season then tank but what about this team this season makes you think they have a chance to get there? |

Good luck building a team through UFA anymore. |
