I don't doubt Lava is a smart coach. However, in pretty much all professional sports, 99.8% (pretty much the Hoodie is the exception) have a shelf life within an organization before it is time to move on to another team. Mike Keenan, Scotty Bowman were all great coaches, but certainly for multiple teams.

I think it is just time for Lava to be replaced.

I'm quite sure that he knows what he's looking at. He believes in playing a certain way. And that's the way he Coaches. With his teams it's either sink or swim. And his Coaching history supports that. He has made some adjustments the last few games. Unfortunately, too little too late.

This late in the season it really doesn't matter who is in there. The team isn't going to make the playoffs.

All talk of systems aside, the Flyers are just not good passers... Passes in the D zone, passes to go on a rush, passes leading to assists and goals. With probably 2 or 3 exceptions - G (and he still has quite a few brain cramps) and Kimmo - this team is seriously lacking in play-makers.

The blind backhand pass into the middle of nowhere seems to be a Flyers staple.
