Why would they have lost him for nothing? He's an RFA. They didn't have to do anything with him. He could have co ntinued to sit in the press box.

At the time we traded him we had Leopold and Regher. Brennan was the 9th D and we were getting close to our roster limit. Someone had to be moved or sent down to Rochester he would have had to clear waivers so we got what we could for him. Looking back at it now we could use him now but we wouldnt have him anyway as someone would have claimed him

This draft is very deep, form everything I have heard.

He doesn't look Vanek-esque. Which makes me think he's healthy enough to skate but not 100% in game shape or still has a nagging "thing"

projections are great. There isn't a Toews or Crosby or Buffalo Sabre Savior Projected on there so a bag full of average it is. IMHO. Maybe we can draft another D-man in the first round because he is tall or maybe someone like Ryan Nugent-Connolly.

There isnt a Crosby in any draft. Put 4 high first round draft picks together and build a team around them. Buffalo hasnt had a superstar that can carry a franchise (for an extended time)besides Hasek since Perreault.
