r u kidding? whats wrong with
pysk
leduc
mcnabb
mccabe
biega
crawford

not to mention we have 2 d that will nto be going anywhere for a long time

- hubie

All "puck movers" who don't play very physical at all...
Except McNabb...
How's it working right how having such a SOFT defense
That's been killing us more and more since we've lost guys like McKee & Lydman

And Biega will likely be a career AHLer
Crawford is also a bit of a longshoremen to be an NHL regular
Leduc has nice offensive talent, but needs A LOT of work defensively, so I wouldn't necessarily count on him either

So really, as far as the "future" goes...
Ehrhoff-Myers
McNabb-Pysyk
McCabe- ???

Very talented, but also very SOFT overall

True but in reality we have top 4 dmen

we have 1 top 3 forward and a few top 6 guys

- hubie

we do have 3 potential top 4 dmen..

our top end forwards are really lacking

college free agent just signed....dont know who it is though yet
- Homer

So, the Sabres are going to build up Rochester moral by signing a college FA who never paid his dues in the minors and play him right away with the Sabres.

That's fine with me. I hope the guy helps the Sabres finish as low as we can go while showing flashes of brilliance.

I donĀ“t see Ennis in the long term plans of the sabres. If they were smart they would trade him in the offseason. This team needs to go in a different direction then small or take him off center.
- toddkac

i agree they should move him.. he is still young and could bring a nice return. i just don't feel he is going to be a 2nd line center on a cup contending team

ok what i was saying org depth is better than most teams

Erhoff-Myers
Pysk-Mcnabb
Sekerra-?

we are fine a defense but you want to go plugging a few more names into rochester when we could have a top 6 guy in Buffalo

- hubie

I never said i want to draft a defensmen over a top forward. I said we need defense also. I dont even want them to take a defenseman in the first round. I only bit after you brought up biega and crawford. We still need to draft defensemen for the future

i don't think it really matters.. McNabb is the only true NHL type player roch has and you aren't hurting his feelings becuase he is injured.

Hes a lot closer to being a 2nd line center on a cup contending team than Cody Hodgson is being your 1st line center

Oh I know, but is a a college FA who wasn't good enough to be drafted better than one of the Rochester guys, especially this late in the college FA signing process? If this was a month ago, I could see it. Now probably only scraps left out there. Anyway who knows we shall see.

sorry my list is long cause honestly I dont like Leduc

Nowhere did I saw we would draft every single pick with a forward but we can draft a dman eventually 1st pick in 1st round I wan t a winger

Zemgus doesn't say hi imo.. and i don't know enough about larson at this point.. to me that leaves you with Armia and Grigs.

Darcy should be fired for many reasons but to only be developing career AHLers in Rochester now, besides injured McNabb, is one of them.

Oh I totally agree. But its not that crazy to say we need defensive help just as much or more than offensive help

it depends on who is left on the board when we pick... you don't pass on a dman that is much higher rated than a winger for the winger just because you need a winger

True. That was based on us picking around 5-8. I would consider a couple d-men past that
