If you really want to get into this our best D consitently all year (minus last night) has been Mike Weber. Not saying Weber is a #1 D but saying Ehrhoff is a #1 by a long shot isnt right. Being a plus 10 has a lot to do with him starting the year off really good. Not so much the last month or so

Kevin Bieksa was the #1 to be correct. Ehrhoff played some of the year with him but not all of it. There is a reason they chose to resign him and let Ehrhoff walk

Your numbers argument is a terrible argument. He has the most points this year so what? The team is awful. The PP is awful and he has a lot to do with that. His passing is garbage he makes the wrong decisions with the puck on the PP all the time. Stop looking at just stats watch an entire game

Ehrhoff is not the power play problem. Removing him from the power play doesn't help.

All comes back to puck possession. Good puck possession teams score goals, have good power play, and win games. Period.

Puck possession isnt just holding onto the puck. It means making the smart play when you have the puck instead of trying to shoot through 3 guys. It also means making tape to tape passes. Ehrhoff and Ennis have been AWFUL on the PP.

You're really stretching with some of those. Philly? NYI? I would never say ehrhoff is head and shoulders better than a lot of people you included but he's certainly equivalent. He could be plugged into a lot of those pairings and they wouldn't get worse, assuming chemistry remains the same.
