ARGHH Story time.............

I was born as a Penguin fan back in the day, loved MArio and Jagr Stevens, Barrasso the whole team. My family were Islanders fans and basically ignored me during hockey season. I did not like Pat Lafontaine and he was the main reason I could not root for the Islanders. I could not be a Ranger fan or I would have probably been shot. So I turned to the Pens. They were winning they were exciting. Everything was perfect in Pittsburgh land. Mario was the best player in the league and then Lafontaine got traded. David Volek destroyed the Pens hopes and dreams and my dad sat we down and said son it is time to choose. Well I decided the Islanders but deep down still rooted for the Penguins. till this day I am torn.

Man, I thought I had it tough. For me, picking a rooting interest in the Pens-Isles series is like deciding who I want to win in a boxing match between Kim Jong Un and Mahmoud Amidinajed. But, its way worse for you. Just root for the good guys!

And what was your reason for disliking Lafontaine? Pretty non-controversial good guy, wasn't he?

I just said he's eligible to come back, which he is. The only other promise is that when he does actually come back i'm going to pretend not to notice.

What "job"? going out and taking space up? Getting absolutely no offense generated? Hitting nothing but the ice as he falls all over himself? Losing faceoff after faceoff? S**t, those are jobs I can do, and for a lot less $$.

This is what pisses me off......."the best players are going to play" straight outta crappys mouth. Can anyone make a case that reasoner is a bigger asset than 6 ft 3 joenssu, or a relentless ulstrom ? If anyone is gonna use the faceoff excuse, my response is I'd take Casey cizikas anyday down the middle over Marty "1 goal" reasoner.
Reasoner playing is absolutely a case of preferential treatment for a guy who's "been around". That's not gonna win you hockey games. The best players need to play. The isles need guys in the lineup who will not only pepper fleury with shots but who'll drive the net hard. I'm baffled by this decision...

Mario was the best player alive to me anyway. He just seemed to not even try and made everyone around him a million percent better. Crosby yeah he is kind of a baby but he also in my opinion out grew it. I really don't like him but lets be honest he is the fuel that makes this team go.

JT is a beast though quiet and does his job without complaining at all.
