The Islanders are clearly an extreme underdog in the series, therefore, they need to take advantage of the absence of Crosby and Orpik. Orpik would have been assigned to Tavares, leaving the slower-footed Douglas Murray to mark Tavares tonight. This is a slight advantage for Tavares, who may be able to open up more room around the net with his quick hands and feet.
Crosby's absence allows the Bailey - Nielsen - Okposo line to be assigned to mark the Malkin line, exclusively. This makes Capuano's job easier with matching line against line, especially with the game at Pittsburgh and the Penguins getting the last change as the home team.
That being said, tonight is a must-win for the Isles if they want to make this a good series. Let's Go Islanders! |

I expect you won't see Crosby as long as the Pens are winning in this series - lloyd095
So he should be in for game two then? |

Murray doesn't get assigned to anyone. Depending on who's in he usually is 3rd line pairing that gets whoevers left. However I think the Pens are comfortable with all D pairings on the ice. The matchup should be Sutter, Cooke, and Morrow really targeting JT!!! |

I am torned here. Do I go with my heart and go with the Islanders here? the major underdogs but fighters to the end. would be a great Cinderella story.
Or do I go with my brain and go for the Penguins who are the major powerhouse and will fight with everything they got to get to the CUP? They let me down a few times but I am just confused.
I need a doctor
Also if I root for the Penguins then that is good news for the Islanders since the team I usually root for loses. So I don't know if I should help the Isles and root for the Pens or root for the Isles to help the Pens?? |
