let's go Isles! I'll be home in 45 minutes so I'll be a bit behind you guys before I catch up in an intermission, so I won't be checking the thread. Set the game to record and will catch up
Would really throw the Pens and give the Isles confidence to take the first game and show them it's a series!

I hate the idea that Reasoner plays based on experience. I honestly think experience is one of the most overrated assets in hockey these days. The sport is so fast now compared tl just 20 years ago and it's almost robotic to a point. I seriously doubt that Reasoners vast 20 games of playoff experience (all before 2004) will have any impact at all. |

ARGHH Story time.............
I was born as a Penguin fan back in the day, loved MArio and Jagr Stevens, Barrasso the whole team. My family were Islanders fans and basically ignored me during hockey season. I did not like Pat Lafontaine and he was the main reason I could not root for the Islanders. I could not be a Ranger fan or I would have probably been shot. So I turned to the Pens. They were winning they were exciting. Everything was perfect in Pittsburgh land. Mario was the best player in the league and then Lafontaine got traded. David Volek destroyed the Pens hopes and dreams and my dad sat we down and said son it is time to choose. Well I decided the Islanders but deep down still rooted for the Penguins. till this day I am torn.

that kid has like 98 wrist shot accuracy and 99 wrist shot power in nhl 13 3 seasons in. totally realistic. |

Pens get their youngster instant playoff confidence. The isles need to do the same. Also, that shot Nabokov took can't be overlooked. That was all on his neck. |

His wrist is still not 100% according to sources. Def a top 6 wing within 2 years. |

Isles are playing tough, but that Dupuis goal is a killer. I think this reminds all pens fans of the 06-07 season. Highly talented Isle team, but maybe just not quite built for a playoff run. Not writing them off, but the stars of the team can't put themselves in positions to get hit like JT did. Crosby and Malkin had to learn the same stuff...and did by the next year. Regardless, Isles are definitely more prepared than I thought. |

His fault? No. But the clear would have gone the length of the ice if he didn't knock it down. |

And that's why they are down 2-0 in the first period clearly. |
