As a pens fan I have to agree that it is expected. But I don't think it has anything to do with pens specifically...the isles will just need to earn the "playoff" respect. The pens went through it too when they started making the playoffs. Not to mention that Crosby, admittedly, needed to learn to shut his mouth. Lol

1). Stop taking shots from the point and actually cycle the puck first line
2). When is the last time we saw a wrist or snap shot on the PP. They wonder why they cannot get going on the PP, but no one fears a snipe from our PP so they just pressure the point.
3). Stop (frank)ing dumping and chasing. Take the hit, carry the puck in, use your (frank)ing legs.

What? Yes they are. If the refs didn't hate the Islanders and love the Penguins, the Islanders would be going into the second with a 3 goal lead. It's clear that the Islanders are totally outplaying the Pens but the refs and screwing them over and over. Don't worry. If the refs straighten themselves out the Isles will win this one 8-2.

Unless you enjoy hearing comparisons to the 93 Isles over and over again, be happy they aren't. You'll also hear a lot of comparisons about how the '13 Isles are just like the '07 Pens and the talent on the teams are the same.

They'll come and you'll know it. But for now just be happy it's quiet in here now.

Eh, not sure I agree. The difference imo is the Penguins take care of the front of their net. The Isles don't. And the Pens are stronger.

Pens are a better team, so it'll take near perfect games for the Isles to win, and they're very far from playing one up to this point.

Not a very good start. Pens make mistakes and they recover. Isles make mistakes and they end up in the back of the net. Hopefully this drubbing is a wake up call.
