Yeah and Dupper got lucky. - kencan98
He must get lucky quite a bit since Sid's jaw injury. Do you ever watch Penguin hockey games? I don't think so.

Dupuis is a UFA this summer... - kear20
Your point? He won't be a member of the Islanders. He will probably be resigning in Pittsburgh.

no need for crosby to play friday night either if Isles going to play like that.
Hey what the experience. You make the bed you sleep in. Isles slacked off end of season with 3 games to play after they clinched and fell to 8th. You want to play again one of top teams in NHL. well here you go.
I just hope its not a sweep. All that work to get in only to be like those loser teams of the 2000's |

You're playing right into his game. |

Duper does everything... Crosby does help of course but Dupuis is non stop and I would be sick if he's not a Pen the rest of his career. - lloyd095

You're right and I agree. When he was traded with Hossa he was kind of overlooked but the guy has been a machine since he came to Pitt. He fits well on that line and hopefully he stays. If he's offered any kind of reasonable contract (which he should be), I'd be shocked if he goes anywhere else. |

Pittsburgh will be against the cap if they sign Inginla which means Dupuis will be elsewhere...heard he wants at least $5 million a year per your newspapers... |

If it were me, I wouldn't play him in round 1 at all. If the Isles come back and take a game lead in the series at any point, he goes in. As long as the Pens lead the series though, I'd sit him. It's pretty obvious that they have a real shot at the cup this year and a broken jaw is pretty serious so if it were me I wouldn't risk it. |

He will sign for 3/3.5 if we give him 3 or 4 years. Don't you worry, he loves it there. |

I can't. When I make serious posts on this board I get banned. So I'll just post in "Islander Fan Mode".
You see my posts in the Pens board. Serious, respectful and good discussion. I tried that here and got insulted, family got insulted, all kinds of names thrown at me. So now it's "Islander Fan Mode" from now on. |

Dupuis loves Pittsburgh and would take less money to stay. One thing I know, he won't be playing in New York if he leaves. |

5 mil is a little absurd for duper. but at the same time, i can see him getting an offer similar to dubi's by someone for 4-4.5 mil. |

He's certainly worth Fleischmen money on the open market, but he won't test it. He's a loyal soldier that loves the city and the team and sees opportunities for cups until he retires. I am extremely confident he resigns at a bargain.

no way in hell are the rangers offering him 5 mil a year. we need to resign hags, stepan, zuccarello, and mcdonagh. then we need to potentially sign clowe and lundqvist needs a new contract pretty soon. we also still have richards' albatross contract on the books for potentially a decade.
plus duper's good but hes not $5 mil good or even $4 mil good. i'd be okay with the rangers signing him to a 3.5 mil deal or less because that's what i think he's worth...but not with our cap situation. |

If Boogard is worth 1.5 Mill a year (according to the Rangers), Duper is worth 5 Mill or more. |
