WTF is the point... too keep them relevant there so when the Brooklyn lease is up they move back?
wait.. didnt i suggest that happening back when they signed the lease?
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
I had a hunch this was going to happen. I say screw Nassau County they suck and I hope this does not defer players from signing here now |

I think its just a way of throwing some of the older Islander fans a bone who won't be going to Brooklyn when they move. I doubt its part of some plan to move them back after 25 years in BK |

Did anyone see his postgame interview? - canadianpenfan
I saw most of it. He did talk of possible lineup changes, along with his usual stuff. He seems like a nice guy who shouldn't be coaching at this level. |

Brooklyn group's proposal to develop Nassau Coliseum includes #Isles playing 6 games each season at the old barn on Hempstead Tpke. - Vukota
Come on LI had a chance to keep them. What is this back and forth? |

I hardly watched the third period. I was no way watching is postgame interview where he probably said how great the guys played and that we ran into a hot goaltender - kasperrko
Well someone needs to tell him not to put the microphone in his mouth, just near it. He's learning as he goes too I guess. |

The only way I see that happening is they don't draw like they think they will. If that place packs out and the Isles stay competitive I don't think you will see them leave BK for the Island down the road |

No but we have the template for all of them..
"We didn't have our battle level up for this game. I thought some guys battled hard but we need all 20 guys rolling against a team like this. They're a great team and they'll bury you fast if your battle level isn't up to par. Credit "insert team name here", those guys were ready and answered the call." '
Anything close? |

of course for my view to come true Ratner has to win the bid to buy & devleop the NVMC... once he owns both buildings he will want a tenant in that building & the Isles come into play..... he lets them out of the one lease & signs a longer one with the team at the new LI arena.
If Ratner loses his bid... then Brooklyn for 25 & possibly beyond

they would still have the fan base, but the rink from only playing in 5-6 times would be foreign, they wouldnt really ever learn the way pucks bounce off the boards, or things like that. Also.. they wouldnt have their personal things in their locker in a place they see once a month... know what im saying?
