What is it with people on this site and their obsession with women skating around in a two-piece showing off their cleavage. |

Hope the Leafs grab Dunn with their 2nd |

We don't have the option for a 2013 draft photo, only 2012 atm. |

Cool blog. Thanks for the information. I don't pay much attention to the lower ranks of hockey outside of the occasional game that I can catch on TV and there are not many of them in the Philly area. Since the Flyers & Phantoms stunk this past year I have been more curious about the draft. Not sure if Homer will hold onto his picks though. Loves to give up a good 2nd pick whenever possible. |

Frenchie, I know this is a blog about sleepers but for some reason I actually afford you some respect on the topic of prospects so I want to ask a top picks question of you. Have you heard any concern about Seth Jones' fitness level, and how did he perform on those measures in the combine? I was struck by that side/by/side of MacKinnon and Jones (edit: found it) and wondered if that had translated to actual performance as far as you knew.
I'll hang up and listen.

I thought it was pretty striking. But then, you can be fit and not look it - so I was curious how he had performed. |

True, but, you would think that with all of the money that he stands to make and the high expectations that come with a #1 pick he would be in the gym on a consistent basis. I guess weights are just not appealing to some people. |

Not sure about fitness levels. Everybody is different and a lot of the highest end players are nowhere close to the top guys in the combine...in fact that is generally the case. Jones was still able to play 25-35 minutes a night in junior and be very effective. Doughty was accused of the same thing when he was drafted, and still is. I'm still convinced MacKinnon goes first overall though, based on age and the style he plays.
That is a rather unflattering picture though. Probably the norm for most of the taller guys I would guess. |

Well, he looks better than Brady anyhow. Do they post the fitness results on NHL.com?
I'm going straight money on this: I think that in normal years, all else being equal, teams take the center because forwards sell jerseys.
In this case however, need + hometown connection (see: sells more jerseys) sees Jones off the board first. |

They only post officially the top-10 per bracket of the results. Other reporters and guys who are there usually know the official score of each guy if they hang around there. Jones was the top wingspan and didn't make any of the other top-10's if I recall correctly.
I'm sure somewhere on the web people have his full results in each test.

Might make for a better show than this one, she seems to have fizzled early. |
