I think Gervais will assume the #7 d-man role. However, if someone from the top 6 goes down for any length of time, they recall Lauridson from the Phantoms and insert him in the top 6. I don't have a problem with Gervais in the #7 d-man role.

Exactly. Give Ollie every opportunity to earn a top 6 job, but if he doesn't, let him go to the AHL and play a poopload of minutes. If needed recall him and have him fill in, then he can head down when guys return.
