I'm just amazed that four is the ask -- I'm sure everybody knew he was going to ask for three, no matter where he landed, but four...WOW. Just...wow.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: The price of defensemen in today's NHL is just completely out of whack. It's crazy.

I like the fact they got Streit. Its a smart move, and it takes pressure off of making that trade for a number 1 puck mover this season. Instead of trading Couturier or Schenn for a Shattenkirk or Yandle, now you can instead move a Laughton for a Runblad.

If they get him signed. I like it.

The four years scares me, but this may be a better idea than a Yandle for Cooter and a 1st type of BS.

Gagne turned 33 in February and is practically a young colt compared to Jagr and Streit.

Remember that Gags started at age 18; it only seems like he's 40.
