It's not just about size, it's about being physical and refusing to lose the puck battles, Hawks do way too many fly bys and always chasing the puck. The Bruins swarm with their physical style of play and out hit and out battle the Hawks on most occassions. IMO that leads to good scoring chances and the Bruins are taking advantage

If people actually took a step back, they would have noticed the Hawks were dominated for 75-80% of the games in Chicago. Instead it was ignored.

Turning point in this series was Rask holding on in game 2, and the Hawks pathetic PP coming up with goose eggs.....national media continues to rip it, and the Hawks will fire Kompon as soon as the season ends to appease everyone....

Problem is, this team isn't built to win puck battles constantly...that's why they are pinching D men like crazy to try and help and create the upper hand in board battles.

What is even scarier....Bs PP looks like it's about to catch fire....

I was thrilled, and amazed, that the Hawks were so good during the short regular season. And I've been pleased that the Hawks gave us all a nice ride into the finals.

I just refuse to get PO'd at the finals results so far..I'm just a fan that has no control.

Hope they can fix things in the offseason.

But what goals did it cause, not intangible intimidation which probably doesn't exist. NHL players know how to take hits. They scored because of PP skill and Bolland being soft as phuck on his stick with Crow off his angle

It's overall approach...it's that simple. They have size, they have speed, they never stop pounding the hawks and making their life miserable. Goes back to total team grit. Size, speed, toughness will allow them to continue to keep hawks on their heels. That is what helped them score those 2 goals. Wave after wave of black and gold coming at the hawks with no answer.

Maybe Bolland did just yank the guy to the ground, and that is a penalty, but we've seen so many worse things not called. Toews is playing his ass off. Kane shows up every six games. I wouldn't compare the two. Sure the production isn't there for toews and I can certainly blame him but in a series where you need to play physical, bickell is a midget.
