That would be fun, if he stays in the division. |

Here's an interesting thought (to me anyway), where does Bryz land if he is bought out? Does he go back to Russia or field interest from the NHL? If the NHL, who would be interested? - funmaster18
With his reputation, I'm not sure. It will be interesting to watch. Even during his time in the KHL his team seemed leery of him playing. |

Yup. I would love for the Islanders to get him, only to see him take them to the Cup and win a Vezina.
Then maybe these idiot fans and reporters will learn some (frank)ing patience |

Read does not have the same wear and tear the giroux has. if he was.
For aurguments sake, lets say he was 22 or 23 what would his value be with his current production?
Agree on giroux no worries there...i think we can throw away last season... - PhillaBully
Read's definitely got a little bit more tread on the tires than similar guys who might have more games under their belt, but the body still ages at the same rate. There are very few examples of players that have managed to somehow defy nature... St. Louis, Ray Whitney, Jagr... and even fewer examples of guys that peaked in their 30's like Knuble.
It's a very real possibility that Read will never be more productive than he is today... which is why this might be the best/only time to capitalize on whatever trade value he has.
If Read were 22-23 and were producing at this level, he probably would be on equal footing w/ Giroux in terms of trade value. |

I had all the patience in the world with Bobrovsky and most of the goalies we've had over the years... I'm done with this guy.
I don't think I've ever felt this way about one of our goalies before. It's reaching an irrational level. |

Knowing him he could retire from hockey and begin his training in the Russian space program. |

Somewhere that isn't -32C in November, has parks/activities for his family and has cordial beat writers is my guess. |

Name ONE factual event that has taken place, where he would wear on your patience?
Honestly, I am done with our media. I stopped reading any and all Bryz related material about 2 months ago. Literally, completely stopped reading. |

In all seriousness, my reason for buying out bryz are production vs cost vs the flyers current cap situation. I'm at the point that Bryz has not played himself out of philly nor has he played himself into a must keep player. |

The Winter Classic fiasco comes to mind... there were two points at stake and he decided to make it all about him and his thermos, revealing the starter to the Rangers, and creating a veritable circus.

Co-sign. The other stuff isn't a factor. Maybe it would be if it was a case of him playing better and just needing the space, but the bottom line is the play hasn't been consistently good enough, despite all the circus. |

When that happened to Bryz's mask, it both intrigued and confused my Star Wars crazy 7 YO son. |

It would be nice for him if there was a recent devastation and most of the city was rebuilt so it was new and not old, dirty and musty like someone had died there. |

What's wrong with that if Read will never be more productive then he is now? A 20 goal scorer who plays well both ways. And can play in all situations. Really to be a value to the Flyers going forward, he really doesn't need to get a lot better. Just needs to continue to be what he is now. |
