I had suggested trading Simmonds for a guy like Edler. I'm open to any trade, so long as it makes the team better. - Jsaquella
Reminds me of Holmgren's comments about the "buyout" of Bryz. |

They could trade Giroux, if the return is enough, I'd be cool with it. |

That's funny stuff. I hope they opt against overpaying for a watered down Scott Hartnell. I wonder how much Bickell ends up getting.

you know how i know Coburn and the 11th for Ryan is a fair trade? Because Philly fans all think it's a ridiculous overpayment for Ryan and Anaheim fans all think it's a ridiculous lowball for Ryan lol - moylander
It's a fair trade, in a pure hockey sense.
I wouldn't do it because the Flyers need to exercise that pick this year. But I've been surprised at how 30 goal-scorers -- which Bobby Ryan is -- are being taken for granted, easily dismissed.
I like Braydon Coburn as a player, wouldn't necessarily want him traded. But I do think Coburn and the 11th, in a typical draft year or if the Flyers had a clear-cut Top 4 defensive prospect...I'd do that deal.

Its a rule, the Flyers must trade all of their 2nd round picks. |

Seen him from the 1st down to the 3rd......
I was thinking also of Dillon Heatherington but he's not going to add much scoring from the D spot. |

I'd be happy if he didnt run around in his own zone like a chicken with its head cut off or put pretty passes on the tape of opposing players' sticks
edit: or in the case of Andreas Lilja like a chicken with its legs cut off. |

Think Morin will be there? If so, do you draft him at 41? |

Ryan's likely going to sign here as a UFA in 2015... right as the young core enters its prime... what's the hurry to get him now? |

if you think he's a player with an NHL future.... Vannelli might be a bit of a reach at 41. they should get an NHL player at 41 this year. would be cool if Jimmy Lodge fell to 71. don't think it will happen. he got a late push. late is more lasting. than steady. |

Streit, Ryan, and somehow replacing Braydon Coburn with some other younger, cheaper Braydon Coburn? Sounds like it could be potent. Still wouldn't bark up that tree just yet. |

He played very well as the season went on with Saginaw, probably a 2nd rounder "maybe" early 3rd.
Maybe a Brett Pesce, Spencer Martin, Ryan Kujawinski, or a Anthony Duclair can be 3rd round targets. |

They have to move a defenseman. Getting Ryan for Coburn looks good to me. There's value in that trade. |
