So...
Diaz should be traded while he has some value
Gionta is probably on his final season as a Hab (good soldier and vet presence but way past his prime)
Let's see if DD can get his game together
And let's hope MB can get a solid prospect with his 1st rounder - kameroski
Have a blog going up tomorrow.
My thoughts summarized.
Trade Diaz, Moen for D help, Sign 2 free agents, desharnais to the wing

F that. Danny, please go to Pittsburgh. We can take shooting practice on MAF with all our power play time. - Daman
keeping fluery and bylsma IMO is 2 more big mistakes by ray shero. the first two being letting go of scuderi and hal gill. I could be wrong, that's just how i see it. maf is a head case and bylsma should have 2 or 3 more stanley cups. he's had loaded teams, the two best players in the world and only 1 sc, idk, he is a good strategist. |

UFA crop is getting worse every year because GMs have gotten a lot smarter about who to lock up and who not to. It has always been overrated as a means of improving your team mind you but the top end UFAs get rarer and rarer. Last year was an exception I think - S Kaspar Rollins
A lot of last year was caused by uncertainty of the then upcoming CBA and teams reluctant to lock in big contracts before they knew what was going to happen (so yes last year was more of an exception). The teams that did buy were looking to make a big splash and/or had a little more maneuver room thus teams like Minnesota were the ones doing the major buying. |

You looking in a mirror when you said that? Briere put in his time on and off the ice in philly and I have more respect for him than just about everyone else on the Flyers roster |

IMO Price's problem isn't his technique, it's between his ears. - flyerscup2011
Even if true (not unlikely, but not entirely the problem either), a good coach is still vital--even more so. Not a "let's be pals" kind of coach like the outgoing one appears to have been, but someone who can pass on good mental discipline techniques. |

Help me out - where was it stated that MAF is staying? Not being saracstic, just don't know.
If so, that is great. I love when the Flyers beat up on that French F'ing Flower. |

Shero had a press conference a week ago regarding those 2 issues.
Bylsma would NOT be let go. And MAF is their guy going forward. He talked about a 40 win per year goalie etc.
Could prob find the link on tsn pretty easily |

Thanks. Been busy lately.
Unreal. Apparently Shero and Holmgren read the same book - "Goaltending - A beginner's guide to managing the cap". |

I think that is a smart idea where LA can dump penner and use his money to sign briere |

Briere playing for the Predators would be awesome. Nashville does need to get bigger but they also need to get more skilled. A player like Briere would be welcomed in the Bridge. He would also be a great mentor for Gabriel Bourque who is of similar size and stature. |

Eklund: Rumor Update: The Latest on Briere - Eklund
Briere will never go to Montreal they are already threatning Management on the French Boards because he snubbed them in the past so they want no part of him glad EK put it out there now at least it wont happen ... Sheesh close call |

Why would he come cheap? His buyout will be spread over a longer term and he has a greedy ex wife and child support to pay. Some one will still give him 3-3.5 mill at least. - Iggysbff
Who's he paying child support to? He's raising the boys. |

Well what's he going to say? "Fleury isn't our guy and we are trading him". He's not going to say anything to lower his value and to dump on him even more. |

Say nothing. Why even have the press conference?
You just married yourself to both for another year.
This wasnt a 'keep his value' up comment. He meant every word |

He can say nothing, and be a gentleman.
Or he can be honest and tell the truth, saying we're going to cut his f'ing ass b/c he sucks in the playoffs.

I highly doubt Fleury is worth very much regardless of what Shero says in his press conferences (which should always be taken with a grain of salt anyway, GMs lie about their intentions with players constantly)
I mean, he just had the worst playoffs of his career, people are starting to see him as a guy whose team wins in spite of him, and there are several other goalies available that are better options. |

For the rest of his career he'll pay child support because kids are staying in South Jersey. Doesn't want their hockey or friendships disrupted. But no alimony. Nothing says "greedy" about his ex-wife, who was the one who wanted the divorce and the cop boyfriend. |

the blues do not have financial issues. they will be able to sign their RFAs. the bruins, flyers, and canucks are teams that i would consider to have "issues" when it comes to cap space |

The Blues have to play in St. Louis. That is an issue in itself. |

Wow, Montreal looking for another Small soft center that disappears once the playoffs come THAT'S ALL WE NEED ..I am actually hoping Timmins can rid the Habs of either Desharmus or that loser Plekanec, Anyone who thinks those are Top Two centers is a moron.. |
