I still say that if we had Peca in 2001 we make it to the finals and potentially win the cup. That team was STACKED! One of the most forgotten rosters in sabres history; that team got lost in the hasek leaving town drama.

I know I'm late with this, but I agree with you 100%. I was just telling someone this yesterday. We were less than two minutes away from ending Pitt's season in game 6 and I think we would've beaten the Devils in the ECF. I remember the Sabres having their number that season, although the playoffs is a different animal. They were stacked. Barnes, Gilmour, Dumont, etc. and then they got Heinze at the deadline who lit it up for us. They should've just paid Peca. And (frank) Hasek

maybe, he would be good on a team going into a rebuild like buffalo. but i doubt he would want to go into a situation like that at this point in his career.

Remember when Kasparaitis grabbed the puck and threw it over the glass and never got a penalty. I think it was in overtime in Game 6, I was not impressed with the no call.
