Darcy hasn't a clue, we are rebuilding and as much as I don't think Hodgson is worth 5 mill a yr, why would Darcy move him if we have a youth movement and aren't against the cap. How in the hell does this guy still have a job.

Which is exactly why his agent turned down almost any offer made by the Sabres prior to the UFA signings beginning.

People act like Darcy is a clown, and many times they are right, but not this time. No agent who wants to keep his job would advise his client to sign an RFA deal prior to UFA day so he can have plenty of examples of comparable players signed to stupidly inflated contracts that are not as productive as the player he represents.

I thought Kevin's blog was truly insightful about Stafford maybe gone before October. I never thought of that before; and to Edmonton? Never heard that before.

If that has any legs, which I doubt, this team is (frank)ed next year, even more than we expect, if that's even possible. Unless, a very comparable, young, skilled center is traded for Hodgson.

If someone offers him $5.5M a year what does that equal out to picks if we don't match?

He should get the heck out and not influence our youngin's with guitar hero and inconsistancy on the ice, teaching them to play hard the year before their contracts are up, and then coast.
