I can't this season to hear about "the new building across the street" all season from Pegs and Black. The only players we will have attracted to play in Buffall are 11 years old.

CBJ is going to be a force to be reckoned with, book it. They'll finally play against some lesser teams with the realignment, and their team is probably the best it has ever been since its conception.

If the roster stands as-is, whose your captain? Do you give it to Vanek to try and entice him to stay? Do you give it to another vet? Do you go with a kid? Do you go the Rivet route (give it to the vet you just added)?

If Vanek is gone ( and Stafford either is or isnt an option), whose the choice then?

No not really. But Columbus has become a likey playoff team and force to be reckoned with. For all we have been promised we've got nothing. In fact, if we were promise to be average we still would be way behind.

Are we going to do Stastny for Vanek now?

Vanek should be the Captain, if he is gone I would think you might get 3 A's Ott is in the box to much to be Captain but why not I guess.

I can see it already. A pre planned release event during camp where the Sabres have an internal scrimmage at the FNC, free to te public. Jerseys avail at the store.

I know we could still trade Vanek and Miller, and I also know the free agent crop was weak, but there were/are players that would fit our rebuild. Why would Darcy take a great draft and do nothing to help the team now? Grabo and Brunner would be the perfect adds to gain a little firepower now while the youth gets ready. Plus they are young enough themselves to sign a little longer term if they perform well.

But if we can't get something figured out with hodge for less than 4m per... hodge might be traded and stastny becomes needed
