I like this trade rumor IF we get somebody like Eberle in return... anything less is a disappointment. After I'd trade one of our defensive prospects and Stafford to Colorado for Statsny or Stafford for Hemsky straight up... besides, we would need good wingers once Vanek exits for now.

How is he nothing like Drury? He's a solid 30 and 35 a year guy, he's absolutely clutch, and he's no slouch on defense. The only difference is that Drury was better defensively.

I did say Sabres were talking to MTL at draft day involving 3 team deal. WSH was other team but only player both teams wants from them would have wen Ovechkin which is an obvious no no and was highly unlikely in general.

Got laughed at yet....

Interesting it popped up again with Sabres and MTL. Maybe MTL GM doesn't have faith in price. Who knows.

Stil awaiting a hopeful trade of any kind like you all.

I am not saying I am an Oiler expert, but I seen quite a few of their games (center ice, and they are a fun team to watch for West Coast games). Never have I watched eberle play, and think, he reminds of drury when he is out there.

Price is a beast and carries that team.. if the trade his long term contract for millers 1 year... they should be fired...

IMO you'd have to wait until Eberle was at least 30 before comparing him to Drury. The type of intangibles associated with Drury developed more as he matured.
