I really have no clue how that thing works. Some multiplier and then you have to get a certain number...things like that and Magic were too much for me. - jmatchett383
I see that an education may some day be in order. It's less about numbers and more about kicking something in the face. It's about world building and not being you for a short time...
The number crunchers exist but use their talents wisely... Don't get lost in them. A system should never hamper the game play. |

I don't think it matters how well they do at certain ages... Giroux was 4th in the depth chart at center at age 22, Tavaras was number 1.
The question should be do you think Giroux has plateaued? If so, then Tavaras might pass him, but currently I think Giroux is the overall better player now, and if they both continue to grow, should keep pace and stay ahead. - youarewrong
Gretzky's top 3 point getting seasons were at ages 20, 23, 24
Lemieux's are 22, 23, 29
If your telling me right now who I would rather have going forward it's Tavares. Contract, age, everything |

Tim Kerr might be the most underrated athlete in Philadelphia sports history. - johndewar
To me, its insane that for all the abuse he took infront of the net, Kerr wasnt a high PM guy. He was an an animal and the few times I remember him fighting, he absolutely destroyed the other guy. |

Maybe they'll find Brad Richards game hiding down there - JAKEw1234
Maybe Pavel Bure's goal scoring touch. He seemed to lose it in transit between Florida and NY. |

yes giroux has plateued or is very close to it. Im not sure how much room Tavares has to grow but he has much more time to do it. Their both rather equal right now so I'm taking the younger of the two. - Just5
Take the names out of this post and it could describe how you choose between chicks. Fascinating insight here. |

Dropping the gloves was something I wanted to see John Leclair do once in awhile if, for no other reason, than to give defensemen something else to think about. |

I admit I am a dork. My friends and I tried D&D a few times, but I'm not sure we were doing it correctly...lol I'm not into the "pretend" part of it. Now MTG, that is my game. Still play every once in a while. Not a tourney player, but causal with friends... My game used to be WoW, before all the stupid expansions. Anything post Burning Crusiade was junk. - youarewrong
I couldn't agree more on your WOW assessment. I play star Wars these days. Just to keep my hand in it. |

I would take Tavares over giroux - Just5
Based on current results the only thing I would take about Tavares over Giroux is the fact that G is 25 while Tavares is 23.
Over the past 4 seasons each player has played 291 games:
Tavares: Goals 112, Assists 137, Points 249, +/- -39, Most points in a season 81 in 82 games.
Giroux: Goals 91, Assists 182, Points 264, +/- +18, Most points in a season 93 in 77 games.
Giroux also has 42 more games played in his first season but I left that off for comparison sake.
I put Giroux and Tavares at the top of that tier of player right below the Stamkos, Malkin, Crosby, OV , Towes level. |

I miss the old style WoW. I miss ventrillo, the raids, the dungeons, power leveling. I was in deep, my wife got a "WoW Widow" tee-shirt. I got the hint.
I had to buy the SW game, and I played for a few months, but never went very war. MMORPG were ruined for me with WOTLK expansion. |

We did WOW for awhile. After I got so hurt I was a monster pvper... And I used to raid as a healer with one of the best guilds on our server until I realized I had 2 jobs. So I bowed out and took a break. Since then i've playe AION, Guild Wars 2, and Star Wars. I like star wars cuz it has so many crossovers with Mass Effect. I adore that there are cut movies and I can tailor my toon with my decisions, influence his light and dark side. But we don't do huge instances anymore.
We cycle in tabletop games. My fiancee has a solo game he usually has running for me (Rifts or 1st edition D&D - old school!), and then I have an active tabletop group. We are beginning a Mage game now. Just finished up a M&M one. and in theory I run a Kult game but works been rough so I havent been doing much with it these days. |

Dorks get love too! I actually almost broke up with my fiancee when we first started dating cuz I swore I'd never date a non-gamer again. And he was trying to not scare me off and never talked about it.
Lucky for him that wasn't a fatal mistake. |

I didn't know there were girls like you.... lol
I've really dropped out of my geek hobbies. I used to DnD, MTG at least once a week and spend about every night on WoW. Now my wife has me watching The Challange and the Bad Girls Club.... WTF is happening to me? |

I wouldn't assume the Rangers get in. Their playoff hopes every year relies on King Henrik Carrying them there. They've also lost a big piece in Clowe that they still haven't replaced. They struggled last year in large part because they lost a lot of toughness the offseason before, and they were a considerably softer team to play. Now that they've lost (and not replaced) Clowe, they are even softer than ever. Besides for the goaltending, we have the better team over them. Their defense isn't that much better than ours that it will be the difference maker in games. I would've been worried about NJ, but as of this moment they're in big trouble. I would definitely have the Flyers in the top 3 of our division. I see the Islanders for sure taking a wildcard spot, with the Rangers, the Jackets, possibly the Devils, and the Capitals competing for another wildcard spot. - JAKEw1234
I think that the Rangers will respond to Vigneaut. If you think they'll be a bubble team I think you'll be surprised. |
