I thinkThere currently is no deal for Hemsky and it sounds like the Oilers plan on using him. Although, I think this situation could change in a heartbeat if someone picks up the phone and offers MacT something...anything...of value
I think the Oilers currently have no interest(in Grabo). I have no clue but That situation could change if they move Hemsky to free up cap room.
I literally have no idea, but I'll say All the excitement, for this summer at least, is over.

Trade Hemsky and N. Schultz for Abdelkader? Pretty fair trade right there.
There's no trade at all for Potter. Nobody wants him. Marincin and Fedun won't be playing on the team this year. Marincin will probably next year, but Fedun will more than likely take longer. Personally, I think he should be used as a piece in a trade along with Lander. - mbxiphos1527
That's a lot of cap for Detroit to take on. |

I do from time to time, but he's driving me nuts with all the stats again. Guys go on and on about how Edmonton was the worse in the league. How about you tell me who the top 5 (frank)ing teams were so we can see if these stats are (frank)ing accurate.
It was like before the playoffs. The Leafs were the worse team in the playoffs. Yet the 3rd best team in the NHL for the whole year was NJ.
Ya what a grand (frank)ing stat. |

I don't really pay much attention to the "advanced" stats...just seems like overkill and they tell what we know already. If you have the puck more than your opponent you are probably doing better.

I never was all that much of a fan of Lowetide. If I'm going to read a blogger I want to read someone that has ties to the team, some inside info. If I wanted to here what some random guy thought I'd either talk to some stranger in the bar or come here and shoot the poops with you homos.
It's actually Willis' fault. After finding out the guy just looked at stat sheets instead of actually watching games, I kinda soured on nobodies that were talking hockey. |

Has anyone been watching the gretzky specialon tsn? 25 years since the trsde... (frank) time flys!! Pretty bold statments coming from mcnall et al. Saying if gretzky didn't come to la, there would be no anaheim, sanjose pheonix, no teams in florida. Incredible!! In the first year of the trade registered hockey players peewee etc went from 3000 to 12000 and went up exponentially in la. Either way it is one of the most incredible soorts stories and has had bigger ramifications than babe ruth did for baseball (its been claimed)
Proud canadian if that doesn't reaffirm its canadas game I dunno what does. also man the hate for gretzkys wife can still be felt today!! Wow |

It's kinda been talked about for the last 25 years.
Although with regards to Anaheim I think that (frank)ing movie probably helped out as much if not more than Gretzky. |

A deal surrounding
Hemsky and Joel Ward
Hemsky and Kyle Brodziak
Hemsky and Upshall
Hemsky and Jarret Stoll
Hemsky and Stafford
might make sense to me |

Ward doesn't happen until they see how Erat works out.
Brodizak doesn't work because of cap
Upshall, could very well work. I'd try also target the much mentioned Goc or Bergenehim as well. 2 for 1?
Stoll, rumor has it he was cleared to fly to a charity golf tourney a week or so ago. As much as I love the style he plays that's just a waste of a deal as it stands today. Again salary is an issue as well.
Stafford, makes sense. Especially given the fact that Stafford has extra year of salary, so BUF could very well make the deal based on that. |

When the leafs finish bottom 10 next year, you'll find why stats are telling. Last 3 teams in the playoffs (LA, CHI, BOS) were 1,2, and 4 in fenwick close this year |

Yet you read Cloutier's?
I follow Lowetide. He live tweets every game. The people that follow advanced stats don't ignore the game, collect the stats and base all opinions off of them. |

Which is fine, but I'm sick of hearing how these stats are the gospel and that's the only thing that can give you a true measure of what's happening.
If it's that's simple why aren't these guys millionaires from gambling? I mean they know what's going to happen so why not put your life savings on such a sure thing. |

They don't know what's happening. Stats like fenwick close can give a pretty good indicator of teams that will contend though.
2013-CHI's fenwick rating #2
2012-LA's fenwick rating #4
All fenwick really is, is possession. You out-possess the other team, you'll create more scoring chances. |
