Calgary has been the butt of many jokes for a while now…sometimes unfairly others…well we’ll let the individuals decide. |

Seems to be a glut of Centre & Left Wing prospects, light on D in the pipeline. |

Nah, the Flames have been watching the Oil - they'll do the "Alberta Rebuild" by ignoring defence. |

Read it, was about to ask about Brossoit. I personally believe Brossoit is a better pro prospect compared to Gillies. Gilies is a very good young player. I just think Brossoit can be more like Carey Price and Gillies is more like Chris Mason. |

thanks for your twitter reminders on these Frenchie good read as always. The only thing I was surprised about was that Brossiot didn't make the list. I got a feeling he'll be Calgary's starter in years to come.
Also did you decide to do every team? If not I would like to see what your analysis for the Avalanche is. |

I think Feaster must have been worried about Poirier being picked up by Montreal, because I think chances are he would have been there at 28 and they could have used 22 on Shinkaruk or someone. I say Montreal because apparently Bergevin was visibly unhappy when the Leafs selected Gauthier, and they're the only other team to pick a gritty forward in that stretch. |

I'm not sure if the Habs would have selected Poirier. Given Timmins draft tendencies, I think McCarron would probably have been his pick anyway. |

All Jankowski will be is the Janitor mopping up floors at the Saddledome.
If there ever was a bust from last year's draft, it'll be the Janitor.
I know a scout who watched him 5 times last season in Providence, one night he looked pretty good, the next game you would think he was a scratch - totally invisible as the blog suggests.
Does he have skill, absolutely but as this scout pointed out to me, he needs to work on everything if he ever is going to have a shot at pro hockey. |
