Ultimately, for what he's getting paid, he's not a bad 4th line player. And things like the above go a long way.

I never stated he is feared by grown men. And as I said previously, I can provide proof of what a physical game of the type that Rinaldo provides, can do for a team. And I can also show specific examples in a game, where Rinaldo has provided a spark and set the tone in a game with his physical play. Which has led to offensive opportunities for his team.
If Rinaldo isn't an NHL player, why is he on the Flyers? Why did they re-sign him to a two year extension? What do they see that you don't?
If you have truly kept an open mind about Rinaldo, you'd have a different opinion of him.
The difference between our opinions is that I can provide evidence that supports mine. All you can do is call something a myth. You can't provide evidence that it is a myth.
All I've asked from you through this entire conversation, is to provide something, anything concrete that supports your opinion of Rinaldo.

I didn't ask you for stats. I asked you for anything concrete to back up your premise. To provide any credible source that supports your stance that Rinaldo is not effective in his role, and does not belong in the NHL. I don't need stats to back up my stance on Rinaldo. If the conversation isn't going to be moved along, no reason to continue further.

Other than the occasional forced turnover and extra penalty drawn vs. taken, he offers nothing. He can't keep up versus the other team's worst line, nor does he help in keeping the other team from scoring more often.

Despite the mythical aura of his MOMENTUM-CHANGING SHIFTS and HUGE HITS, he offers a negative output overall.

Meanwhile, Giroux is out there adding on high-pressure minutes on defensive zone draws and PK's because the team would rather dress Rinaldo than a defensive specialist.

I do not object to the reasoning of dressing a more experienced veteran PK player in place of Rinaldo. In fact, I've posted many times that I want Giroux's role reduced in defensive zone starts and on the PK. I agree wholeheartedly with that premise.
But that's not what the disagreement is. The disagrement is in your first statement in this post, and your overall premise that Rinaldo adds nothing to the team. Simply not the case. So around and around, are you going to provide any credible source that backs up your stance. Other then Corsi, which we both agreed is not a good stat to use in looking at Rinaldo as a player? If not, I'm done here.

I didn't say there wasn't anything good about Rinaldo. I said the bad outweighs the good.

So I believe we're done.
