As would I but that would for me guarantee I'd be sending Laughton back to Oshawa. - ob18
I'd lose zero sleep at that occurrence |

He's been so maligned since draft day he's become the prospect I'm rooting for the most. I'm hoping he becomes the next Brad Marchand. - mayorofangrytown
He is probably perfect for that kind of role. |

I could do with less Scorpions and AC/DC greatest hits on Boneyard. Also every once in awhile, they'll mix in goofy stuff like Angel Witch (not a fan but they always reminded me of Spinal Tap, especially their song "Angel Witch"). - bmeltzer

Sadly, I usually listen to my iPod for music, rather than my XM. I did hear an Extreme song the other day. Cheesy band, but Nuno is a monster guitarist |

Really suprised to hear that. They open themsleves to serious liable issues by not being willing to call the Police for obvious crimes committed. - MJL
And they claim there is no video, which, come on, you know they're monitoring the bartenders and cashiers. |

Exactly, havent heard anything negative about Xfinity live yet - GOA88
Brad was joking.
But just for you, my nephew was nearly beaten to death there (by 5 guys who jumped him for fun while he was walking through looking for his girlfriend), and the rest is what we heard from the police after they were called from the ER (well, after the miscreants and any witnesses were long gone), and what we know from their investigation (including the claim that there are no video cameras--right). Fortunately my nephew is doing well after three reconstructive surgeries to fix his fractured skull, orbital, and cheekbone, which the surgeon says had to come from brass knuckles or booted feet--too much damage for bare knuckles. At least the security guy who pulled the guys off him had the kindness to call an ambulance.
I've also heard from friends' early-20s daughters that it was initially a fun place but now is no safer than a strip club for young women.
I'd never want anyone I cared about to go there thinking they were at a relatively safe, well-run place. |

What's with both the U.S. and Canada jerseys? All the decent designers (hammarby!) on strike? No desire to make merchandising money? What? |

I have never liked the idea of it when it was just a rumor, yet to go to it, & likely never will step foot inside it. |

per http://prohockeytalk.nbcs...ing-to-three-other-teams/ :
Earlier this week, the Detroit Free Press reported Anaheim, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh had all expressed interest in Cleary, with the Penguins sending fellow Maritimer Sidney Crosby to make a pitch.
Not surprised to see us linked in any rumors, but if we signed Cleary, I'd imagine Read would be traded soon after. |

No, Nike just thinks they can do no wrong. I actually like the US and Russian jerseys. The fake laces are just stupid, though. |

It just seems like a dumb idea-drunken yahoos often coming out of games where they already got liquored up or had been drinking since before the game, and you funnel them into a Sports nightclub of sorts, where the drinking continues and now they have women or other nonsense to fight over.
Yep, nothing says pleasant night out like a bunch of drunk Bros, pissed off after a Flyers loss, in an enclosed area filled with booze! |

Why trade Read? Sign Cleary instead of Gagne. - Jsaquella
Or that, yeah. We could also go the route of signing Cleary and Gagne, and packaging Read for the replacement for Kimmo we need oh so badly, just based on the fact that Read has a good amount of value right now, and a bit more because of his cap his for next season. |

Why sign Gagne if you can sign a healthier, grittier version of him in Cleary? Why trade Read at all? |

Just because I personally feel he will leave next year if his role is reduced to a 3rd liner, and because I believe our need for a replacement for Kimmo is more pressing than our need for a player like Read. |

I agree with not trading Read. But signing Cleary over Gagne, makes little sense to me. Gagne is the much better player in my opinion.

Read is going to play the same role he played last year. His role is not going to be reduced. Regardless of what line he plays on. |

I don't think it's likely that Read would be traded at this point in time. - MJL
Never said it was likely. |
