Saw Iron Maiden and Slayer in the past 2 years (maybe both last year, can't remember). Good times, aside from, again, some drunken frat boys at Slayer. - jmatchett383

Well, we were hanging out on the lawn and there were these drunken hick frat boys in front of us being rowdy, whaetver. This one very hairy, very large dude kicks a water bottle and just nails this girl who was sitting down in the face. Does he apologize? Nope, just points her and laughs and goes, "Yeah, SLAYER!" Dude's a winner. |

I'm telling you, by the 3rd game of the season, our #3 defenseman will be The Ghost of Chris Pronger's Past. |

Not surprised there was fighting at Slayer. I think the most dangerous guy at a Maiden concert is Bruce Richardinson himself. The guy's a dynamo. |

They were my favorite band for a long time. After about fifteen minutes of Some Kind of Monster (or was it the fourty seconds of St. Anger?), I couldn't deny their lameness anymore. |

I tend to be afraid to fight anyone nowadays...Back in the day the most youd get was a black eye and a hurt ego...now you have to worry about someone pulling out a gun or a knife... - PhillaBully

I like their most recent, Death Magnetic. It's not the best album ever, but it's a LOT closer to what they should've been doing. |

I could listen to Maiden all day everyday and not get sick of them. Been digging into the old albums lately, back before Bruce. I hope they come around again, age just doesn't catch up with this band. |

That surprises me you'd get frat boys at these shows.
I know guys that still love both of these bands. One of them is a drummer in what could best be described as a death/speed metal band. He is the furthest thing from a frat boy you could imagine. |

i still listen to them all the time. siriusxm plays a ton of their stuff on ozzy's boneyard channel 38 so i get it there too even if i don't play it intentionally. love their first two albums with paul di'anno on vocals, but bruce is the man.
and i never fought anybody.

I used to love the boneyard when I had XM. Agreed on the vocalists. I think my favorite song (out of all songs) might be Number of the Beast. imo the greatest rock scream ever (controversial opinion in some places). |

No more deaths which is good. And my personal life is slowly getting better, just in time for work to take a dump on me.
The way of the world. I still miss my pups though. The girls are great but I miss the boys.
The good news is that with so much more time in the mornings I am working out again versus giving shots and pills, and trying to get them to eat.
So baby steps in the right direction.
My fiancee has been my lifeline. He's very, very good to me and hasn't been busy at work so it's almost like having a house husband right now.
And yes, the season cannot get here fast enough! - FlyersGrace
We now have a girl at home that is terminal. It's just a heart breaking situation especially when they go young. She's a very small yellow lab and she's only 5. It's good to have people around to go through it with you. |
