Raffl has not looked out of place. It remains to be seen how he will play against real NHL competition instead of a few NHLers and their AHL counterparts.
Its always good to have a steady presence on the third line. A line of Raffle Couturier and Read doesn't look too bad, though I would still prefer Talbot on that line instead of Raffle.
But hey what do I know. |

The plan is to win the Stanley Cup, and to look damn sexy while doing it. |

Who is she and what is her address?
Also, I cringe at the thought of Scott Hartnell in that sort of get up. |

It doesn't surprise me that Michael Raffl or Samuel Morin will be at Lake Placid the next four days as the Flyers escape town for some team bonding and such. - tpanaccio
Wasn't Morin sent back to Rimouski? |

Yes, he was. Surprisingly so, as they could have had him the entire preseason plus nine games before sending him back. He looked pretty good and IMHO could have benefitted from staying here a little longer, then slide his contract as per CBA rules. |

Don't think that line would work. Too small and soft. Raffl is more like a voracek than a Simmonds, and in this NHL, you need someone with enough grit to prevent opponents from taking shots at guys like Read(speedy winter), and Couturier (two way center). That's why they tried to get Cleary |

I think that with all the D the Flyers are carrying now, there wouldn't be much room for him to get into games once the season starts. He's still very raw, and another year of development surely won't hurt.
Next season they can keep him around if there's room and a need, and they'll still have all nine regular season games to use to get a look.

It would be very difficult to keep Morin on the roster to start the Season with the Cap. He wasn't going to stay regardless. Best to get him back to his Junior team now, as their Season has already started. |

Maybe let them play a game or two before deciding that line wouldn't work. Cleary wouldn't prevent anyone from taking shots at anybody. |

Yeah, I was thinking how is Cleary going to keep your guys protected. Doesn't Hartnell/Simmonds and whatever other goons Philly has do this already? Every line doesn't need a thug to stick up for his linemates. |
