Im hoping Malone makes the team, he could just never find a roster spot with Sacco's regime. Malone, McLeod, Mitchell is a nice 4th line

I did like Olver but I think we witnessed all he can really do in the NHL, which wasnt the most impressive, the guy has heart I will give him t hat.

PLEASE bring him up when you play the Blues. We owe him one...unless you wanna call the Stewy, Shatty for RJ and J Mac the first shot..... lol

Oh right the Tarasenko hit, yes it was a questionable hit, but I dont think it was dirty and malice in its intent....Tarasenko left himself in a bad position by facing the boards like that, Olver came in to pop him on the side, then he turned right at the moment he was going to hit him with his shoulder, which resulted in contact to the head.

Olver is at most a depth call up on this team. Gotta love the guy, but more or less a non factor and I think mgmt knows that.

On good teams, the top 6 will score the goals, so players in the bottom 6 have to bring some kind of dynamic to a team to help supplement that. 4th liners are usually big, can hit and fight and bring a physical edge. 3rd liners can shut down other teams top lines while still putting up some points here and there as well as play PK specialists.

He just doesn't fit anywhere.

I have a feeling he might get claimed, I can see the Preds picking him up, they seem to always find a spot for players like him on their roster.

Preds just signed a boat load of forwards this offseason, so I doubt it. If he is claimed though, good for him. He would probably honestly be better off.

Forwards like Olver are a dime a dozen. Hopefully he doesn't get claimed because he provides decent depth, but no big loss if he does get claimed.

Last year, the EJ trade made the Avs look stupid...and we probably deserve it but there are a lot of Blues fans that fail to include Duncan in that trade.

If you want to point out all the pieces, then please include Duncan who has looked like a great draft pick.

We have to include Ty Rattie for them as well, who looked great on a very good Winterhawks team.

But the trade really comes down to long term gains, we all know what Stewy brings to the table, when he is inspired, he is a tough player to play against, but he goes through those mopey periods too often. Shattenkirk is a slick mobile defencemen, but in the end of the day, he is being paid almost 5m to be a 3-4 Dman.

EJ is still a work in progress, but I think his end game is goign to be a 3-4 Dman, stay at home, he needs to stop worrying about putting up offense now, he messes up too much when he gets side tracked with that sort of game.

Seimens has the potential to be a top pairing guy though, he just has a nasty edge that its hard to teach, he needs to play to that strenght more to really round out his game in my opinion

I hope we see more EJ slapshots from the point this season, I remember reading that he had a strong one after the trade

that he does, but the issue was him always tryign to blast a shot through traffic, which usually was blocked. Needs to do a better job looking for the shooting lane and being selective with his shots

Bigras sent back to junior, I am ok with this, however wouldnt of mind him having another pre-season game under his belt, but its good that they didnt get tunnel vision and rushed him this season bc he had a really good camp.
