didn't the Flyers also get a 2nd round pick in the Richards deal? What ever became of that pick?
- jstross

Used to get Grossmann.

BSchenn hasn't even played on what we think will be his line this year with Vinny and Simmonds. I think he'll come good.

I haven't watched all of the games and I know it's preseason, but so far I'm not overly impressed. The things that have bothered this team over the past two seasons haven't seemed to get better.

I think you're right. I think Lecavalier will do wonders for Schenn. Lecavalier can pass on the backhand to Schenn's side effectively.

Ok, looked it up. Getting Grossman for the 2nd rounder in the Richards deal with another 3rd has to be factored into the Richards deal, IMO. No regrets. I'd do that trade over again.

if schenn starts to play ever game like Homer said he would when he said he was the best player not in the nhl this trade will look even better.

I'm sitting here at work thinking I need a new jersey. I always have one of a player that is on the team. I thought I was set with my Richards and Pronger jerseys. However, they are now with my Zubrus, Pitkanen, Gagne, Briere, LeClaire, and my Forsberg. Not to mention my Satan, Koivu, and Forsberg Swedish jersey. I would hate to get a Giroux, because everyone else is. But he is the safest bet. Would love a Couturier or an L.Schenn. But I think I really have to lean on the safe side.

Wow you bought all those jerseys thinking those guys would be around for the long haul? For the love of god, please don't buy a Giroux, Voracek, Bschenn, Simmonds, LSchenn, Emery, Couturier, Read, Rinaldo, or Talbot jersey.
Actually, I reccomend a Vinny jersey. he has an exact expiration date, so I don't think you could jinx him

I don't think it was a bad trade, I just hope Schenn can get it going this yet. I was excited after all the scouting reports around the time the trade went down. Just hoping he can reach those expectations. If he does the the trade could end up being a steal for the flyers. No question that the trade helped the kings now and the flyers later.

I still have high hopes for Schenn. I'd like to see more consistent offense and physical play, but I do see the flashes of the skill he has.

Yes it's apparent he has the ability to be a big game player, hopefully he can make it consistent. He's still pretty young with not many games under his belt. I think I expected more out if him from the onset after some of the reviews I read about him after the trade.

My luck, he would trade himself to Calgary and win a cup.

in all seriousness i liked richards (had his jersey) but he did start to get on my nerves by the end
- Crimsoninja

agreed. just seemed like he was sort of mailing it in by the end of his time here, and he was getting more than a little petulant with the media (who admittedly are for the most part complete a-jobs, but it's part of the job when you're captain). The kind of effort he showed on "The Shift" was a distant memory.

We have a hockey league that I think he is still the boss of. just wondering if we are still playing.

EDIT: I first read that as "he poops here and there"
