I hate the rangers as much as any other isles fan, but I was hoping that after the disaster in San Jose, I could sit back and watch the rags come out with a fire under their ass and put forth a competitive game... But Christ, the effort is just not there...would the owners even consider firing AV??? I know it's early...laviolette is available if anything... |

Why stop with those two? Hrivik and Allen, come on down. Getting fed up with Del Zotto, seriously fed up. - MidnightMarauder
Allen was very good in the preseason, he should get a chance |

This is worse than any start even in the seven year playoff drought era. I am not panicking but this is disgusting to watch. - MidnightMarauder
I just hated the whole idea of changing the system from the word go....its still early and I hope they fix this, but my god, Slats wants them to play uptempo and fast when they don't have those type of players... |

It gets so much easier on Saturday...we get the 3-0 Blues who have outscored their opponents 14-4 so far this year |

How sad is it that Joe and Sam classified that as a good shift, just because you kept the puck in for more than 3 seconds doesn't make it good. |

At his rate AV might not make it back for his garden debut - fquicks
Why do Ranger coaches like Torts have to take the fall while Sather has a job for life? |

They look lethargic and flat out lost in all ones these last almost five periods now.
Most teams, even really bad ones, come out with a fire lit under them after getting blasted in their previous game. These guys are just skating around like it's all good. |

Crazy Uncle that reminds me of TJ just posted... "This is what the Rangers get for not letting Messier coach" and there is that chatter we just spoke of |

The more I watch this, the more I am believing it was Sather's unilateral decision to let Torts go..... |

If anyone's keeping count, that's 15-2 in their last five periods. |

I think Dolan needs his head examined then. 9 game road trip to start off a season is ridiculous. Talk about being behind the 8-ball.
But, gee, just in time for Knicks basketball though...*shakes head* - potvin05
How do you think Grundwald feels? He gets fired after a very good Knicks year and Sather is still GM of the Rangers. |

I think you all forgot the season we led the East. Started off in Europe and then the long road trip. I think we were 1-3-1 to start. Then lost 1 game in November and that was it, led the East basically the rest of the year. |

It's crazy how many of these owners fall in love with their GM's and will not let them go for nothing. I'm shocked Milbury is still not the Islander's GM. |

It MUST be done by Silferberg for a hat trick too. Don't forget about the signature hat trick! |
