As for McGinn....Well, I don't like the fact that they can't score and continue to dress a (frank)ing goon, so I suppose it's even

So are we expecting Newbury to generate more shots on the 4th line in McGinn's place?? Doesn't make sense, McGinn was playing on the 4th line. That group is there to provide energy and hopefully get in on the forecheck not create a ton of shots or scoring chances, at least how they're constructed currently.

Raffl/Hall/Rinaldo or McGinn? Then I'd look for a little bit more out of those guys.

So between McGinn and Raffl they keep Raffl up because.... McGinn has shown the ability to score the occasional goal when he has been up with productive line-mates that can get him the puck in finishing positions.

Raffl has been a steady player but for a team lacking offense he brings nothing.

And leave the 4th line alone. It doesn't matter if its any combo of the 4, Rinaldo, Hall, Newbury, Rosehill. They are there to generate energy.

Sit some of the other players like Schenn was sat on D.

Not that this is a Stanley Cup team, but I don't recall a cup winner that couldn't roll 4 lines that could score...this 4th line is just horrible...the only reason we aren't complaining more is that the 3 lines in front of them can't score either right now...you can't sustain a 4th line that only plays 4-5 minutes a night...about games 60-70 the wheel would fall off and there would be nothing left for a deep playoff run...you need a 4th line that can generate energy AND has the threat of scoring...in addition to chewing up some valuable game minutes

They keep Raffl because he's a good skater and has better hockey sense than McGinn.

The choice is really between McGinn and Rosehill/Rinaldo/Newbury. Raffl can drop to the 4th line and play solid minutes, kill penalties and slide up to the 3rd line and be fine.

McGinn doesn't skate well enough to play on the PK and he isn't a very good defensive player. But they could pop him on the third line and not dress a guy who can't even play hockey...
