I thought Toronto may have been a suitable trading partner since Edmonton is in need of a goalie, and at this point Toronto is in need of a center. But the more I thought about it, I'm not sure Nonis would be willing to give up Reimer. At this point, the 1A/1B goalie situation is really working for these guys. It seems like their pushing each other pretty good (Bernier/Reimer). The only scenario I could see here is a a really good package deal that addresses both teams needs.

come on man... always love the trade proposals. Reimer has been sensational. Exactly what this article is about. Reimer has won the Leafs several games now, not lost. It was his play alone that got them the W. And that's something he's done for a while now. So that 3rd rounder will have to be a 1st rounder, no question. We have 10 D men better than Larsen, and Kadri = Gagner.

I don't know what the Oil would have to do, I know I would buy a Reimer jersey instantly if they got him though. He's an RFA, and cheap, so Garner is right, the price would be significant.

When St Louis and Colorado did the Shattenkirk/Stewart-Johnson trade, St louis traded a 1st but got a 2nd back in the deal.

I wouldn't mind a trade that saw us trading our first but recouping a later 1st or a couple 2nds.

To wit, Buffalo has three 2nds. Maybe one of the fabled deals for Ehrhoff/Ott/Miller could see us sending out our 1st but getting some 2nds back?

You don't see the value in taking Liles off you're hands? I actually didn't think it was to bad of a trade at least not laughable. You might want a back up coming you're way instead of Larsen though.

i agree with the stubborn refusal to beleive the team gets what it deserves until they address the goaltending situation.... But in all reality the oilers players need to be rewarded when they plahy like that. they need to a win to keep their sanity.. thanks dubnyk for allowing 2 more softies tonight... it's funny .. the 3-4 games where they have acutally outplayed their opponents significantly, they've lost those games.... only games they've won have been games like ottawa and new jersey where they didnt have any business winning lol....christ...

I think you are over valuing Liles contract concerns and under valuing Reimer, we are in a squeeze yes, but Liles is a 40+ point a year D man, not like he's Komisarek and useless. He's actually a servicable D man and one the Oil could use, badly.
