The only thing Erik Gudbranson shuts down is his ability to actually shut down players, he has one of the worse +/- in the league. He is no shut down defenseman, far from it, very far from it.

Hello all,
It's about time something like this gets mentioned...I am completely sick of certain bloggers on this site throwing these types of questionable methods as the "proof" that the leafs can't do this for much longer. Fact is, every game is different, every barn you play in is different, every person keeping tabs of the stats are different.. And for these reasons alone, the credibility of Corsi, fenwick and even puck possession to an extent are all way over hyped. The win loss column states how a team ultimately does... And that's all I really care about. Cheers
