And I find the reliance on FenClose and its weighting overall creates self-fulfilling prophecies. Because a lot of bad teams get down quickly, a small sample-sized bad fenwick number gets amplified enormously. It becomes the story that they're a REALLY bad 5v5 team with the score close, when in fact they could be an average or good 5v5 team that simply starts games poorly. Or, only play so-so in 5v5 situations, but have eventful special teams which eliminates chances for future 5v5 close score events.
