Actually.. Come to think of it, Phaneuf for Doughty might make some sense. They are similar players but Doughty has a bit more upside. LA might be looking to move the expensive Doughty and would be willing to take a risk on Phaneuf to create some cap space. Dion's wife would probably love to go back to Cali too.. Just something to think about. Rielly being groomed by Doughty would be amazing.

She's not really a "has been" since her TV show "Happy Endings" is still on and in it's 4th or 5th season lol.

And I don't think he'll take the money, plus if the asking price of 50mil of 7yrs is right, I'd take it in a heartbeat, it's only 600k more than he's getting now. Term might be a bit long but he is the captain and our top scoring defenseman AND he's gotten a LOT better defensively under Carlyle.
